REWIRE / REMODEL

Rewiring and remodels

If the house has cloth wiring, aluminum branch circuits, or a remodel that keeps running into what is already in the walls, this is the work. Older houses in Tahlequah and Muskogee have plenty of all three. Redstar handles the electrical scope start to finish.

What rewiring in Tahlequah covers

  • Whole-house rewiring
  • Knob-and-tube and cloth wiring replacement
  • Aluminum branch circuit remediation
  • Kitchen and bath remodel wiring
  • Additions and finished-out spaces
  • New construction rough-in and trim

Straight answer

Nobody rewires a house because they wanted to. It is knob-and-tube found during a remodel, aluminum branch circuits an insurer flagged, or a wall that came down and revealed what is behind it. All three are the same job, and all three are cheaper while the wall is already open.

What a visit looks like

  1. We look at what is in the walls now, what the remodel needs, and what the panel can carry. Often the panel is part of the answer.
  2. You get a scope in writing, sequenced around the other trades so the walls are open once, not twice.
  3. Rough-in, inspection, then trim once the drywall is back. You see each stage before it is covered.

What moves the price

  • How much of the house. A kitchen is a few circuits; a whole house is every one of them.
  • Whether the walls are already open. A rewire during a remodel costs less than one that has to open finished walls.
  • The panel. Old wiring usually sits behind an old panel, and the two are done together.

The number itself comes from a written estimate after somebody has looked at the job. Ask on the phone and you get told what the call-out is before anybody drives.
